DIY Garlic Bread

Yes, you can just go ahead and buy some garlic bread, but if you want to whip up your own garlic bread, then give this quick recipe a try!Ā The only thing weāre missing is making the bread from scratch, but that's for another time (or my daughter who loves to bake breads of all kinds).š¤£
3 lbs bone-in lamb stew meat or boneless lamb cut into 2 inch pieces
1 (14 to 16-ounce) loaf Italian or French bread (not a thin baguette)
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened (Ideally grab some English butter)
4-6 large cloves garlic, finely minced (about 2 tbsps)
1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
¼ tsp sea salt
½ cup shredded mozzarella or ¼ cup grated good quality Parmesan cheese (Optional)
Preheat your oven to 400°F / 200°C. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper, or aluminum foil, for easy cleanup. Parchment paper is best.
In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt.Ā Mash and mix with a fork until all ingredients are well combined.Ā If using cheese, mix it in now or save it for the final step.
Slice the bread in half lengthwise.Ā Place the halves, cut-side up, on the prepared baking sheet.Ā Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly and generously over the cut sides of the bread.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the butter is melted and bubbly.
If you are adding cheese on top, sprinkle it over the bread during the last 2 minutes of baking until melted.
To serve, remove from the oven, let it cool for a minute, then slice into hearty pieces using a serrated knife. Serve warm, perfect for dipping into your lamb stew.Ā
Enjoy!
